Gast Dozentin

Marija Slavec was born in Slovenia. For two years she was part of D.A.N.C.E. (European interdisciplinary professional program) under the artistic direction of Frédéric Flamand, William Forsythe, Wayne McGregor, and Angelin Preljocaj.

In 2009 she was engaged in a project of Swedish Riksteatern in collaboration with Batsheva Dance Company, where she performed Ohad Naharin’s work “Kamuyot”.

In 2009 she joined the Batsheva Ensemble, where she danced in Naharin’s and Sharon Eyal’s creations. After that she joined Vertigo Dance Company in 2012 where she danced in pieces by
Noa Wertheim, Sharon Fridman, and Anna Halprin. She has been training in and teaching Gaga since her time in the Ensemble.

Since 2018 she is a part of Tanzmainz, Staatstheater Mainz (“Impetus” and “Fall 7 Times” by Guy Nader and Maria Campos, “Small Places” by Guy Weizman and Roni Haver, “Unendliche Nacht” by Alessandra Corti).
